East Essence recently donated boxes of clothing to Syrian Refugees in Ritsona, Greece. We were able to team up with one of our community members named Saba. She recently quit her job and decided to do something that gave her a sense of meaning, so she packed her bags and went to Greece to offer her assistance. East Essence took the initiative of shipping clothing packs to make Saba’s trip easier. The Men, women and children were grateful for new clothing to wear since many of them just had the clothing on their backs. When Saba recently shared pictures with us, we felt our efforts have paid off.

East Essence will continue to do our part in helping refugees and less fortunate communities around the world. We thank our customers for making this possible, since your purchases help fund these programs.

My family is now Syrian, after they came to Canada. My family of five lived with me for 18 months. I now have 4 great grandsons and I really feel they are truly part of my family. Their Dad is still in Syria. I hope someday, I get to meet him on more than just Skype. We stay in close contact although COVID19 has gotten in the way. “Mom” Fatima still fixes me food regularly and the guys come by to stand outside my door and we talk. We also text, WhatsApp, email and phone. It’s a great family. So, I continue to follow Syrian refugees’ issues and hope that someday we can get all of them resettled or home to their country. The Syrian community has accepted me as well. They are perfect citizens for Canada. I hope they continue to find their way to this country.
