The skirt is very casually comfortable I like everything about it--including the elastic waistband. The pockets allow me to keep tissues accessible and the gathered hemline allows me to walk without tripping. And, being made of corduroy, I don't worry that it looks a little rumpled under a long jack or poncho when I rush out the door.
I'm actually buying another one today because I love this skirt so much. It is so comfortable and soft. The pockets are amazing, of course. I love wearing it with a pair of skater shoes and a long sleeve t-shirt, or a big soft sweater. If you're on the fence, go ahead and buy it because you'll love it. I will say that I did go one size up from my usual size. I have a very sensitive stomach and I was worried that the elastic would be too strong. Customer service recommended going one size up and it was perfect. @eastessence please never discontinue this skirt! It's awesome!

I bought a couple skirts from east essence and all of them had such fantastic quality!!! This skirt with the corduroy fabric felt so nice and soft and the quality is really good!! It is certainly worth the price. Also thank you for giving the option for bigger sizes and a longer length for taller people. It was very difficult to find long skirts for tall women.
