Nada Shalash is a Licensed Social Worker and holds a Master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Kentucky. Nada is licensed to practice in Kentucky and Illinois. Growing up in Kentucky, Nada’s passion in serving the Muslim community in her hometown helped her understand the need for mental health therapists for individuals of minority and marginalized communities. Her graduate training involved working with adolescents in an alternative school setting. In addition, Nada completed a clinical internship at a primary care clinic with adults that dealt with a broad spectrum of issues including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Nada’s therapeutic approach utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) through a multi-cultural lens that helps better meet the needs of the client. Nada is also currently a student at the Universal Islamic College of Chicago"
